Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
By using Thoughtscape you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
Your writing
You own what you write. Thoughts in your library stay on your device. When you publish a thought, you give us permission to store it, show it to anyone, and let others link to it, for as long as it stays published. Unpublishing ends that permission, though copies others made (for example, search engine caches) may take time to disappear.
Your library is your responsibility
Your library lives in your browser, and we have no copy of it. We can’t recover it if your browser’s data is cleared or your device is lost. Export it regularly to keep a backup.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details safe, and use your real email address. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13. You’re responsible for what is published from your account.
Rules
Follow the community guidelines. We may remove published thoughts that break them, and suspend or delete accounts that break them repeatedly or seriously.
The service
Thoughtscape is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and we’ll update these terms when we do. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from using the service, including lost writing.
